Why Fall Prevention Exercises are Important for Seniors

Exercise is a critical for fall preventing because it strengthens the muscles that keep us standing up and improves balance.  One in three people ages 65 and older will experience a fall this year, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Most importantly, many of these falls result in fractured hips or sustain other potentially life-threatening injuries.

Help prevent falls by aerobic, balance and flexibility exercise.  Whether it is a bike ride or simple chair exercises, it is important to keep the muscles active as we age.
